Newtown Community & Recreation Association (NCRA) is a registered charity and was formed in 1999. The charity purchased the land (outlined below) for the benefit of the Newtown area community and created a playing field, a community garden to celebrate the millennium, a playpark, and a car park.
The NCRA relies entirely on the support of volunteers, donations and grants in order to keep these facilities maintained and open.
Over the past couple of years, the NCRA has embarked on a number of developments to the playground, the car park and a new community garden.
This has not been possible without generous donations from local residents, parents/carers, and support from local businesses. We need to undertake continuous fundraising to be able to maintain and update these facilities for the benefit of everyone.
How your donations helps
The playpark alone costs around £2,000 a year just to keep open!
We also need to raise funds to maintain the car park, garden and for any repairs/upkeep of the area. The recent car park extension cost in excess of £31,500 and will cost the charity in excess of a further £20,000 to complete.
If you enjoy using the play park and garden or use the car park, please consider making a donation to enable us to keep these facilities open for all to use.
Be a part of the NCRA Lottery
The NCRA Lottery is open to anyone (18 and over) and plays a vital role in raising funds to maintain the playpark, playing field, community garden and car park owned by the charity.
Entry Fee and Application
To enter the lottery, all you need to do is complete the attached application form and pay a £15 entry fee.
Your entry will cover 12 monthly draws.
Draws
There is a monthly draw that takes place on the last day of the month.

Each of the monthly draws comprises of two prizes as follows:
1st Prize – £10
2nd Prize – £5
