🥵 It’s been reported that we’re headed for the warmest year on record after October was confirmed as the fourth consecutive record-breaking hottest month.

In October alone, communities around the world witnessed the catastrophic impacts of extreme weather events. Hurricane Otis left a path of destruction in its wake in Mexico and homes and businesses were devastated by the flooding caused by the ‘extraordinary’ Storm Babet in the UK.

The science tells us that extreme weather events such as these are made more likely by rising global temperatures. We understand that taking action to help tackle the climate crisis can sometimes feel like a huge undertaking. However we have not lost hope. 💚

In June this year, hundreds of thousands of people took part in the third Great Big Green Week to show politicians that communities across the country are already working for a greener, fairer, more secure society.

The next Great Big Green Week is taking place from 8th – 16th 2024, but you don’t have to wait until June to take action.
