The Buy Nothing New Month campaign by Keep Britain Tidy is all about protecting the planet by reducing waste, but at a time when many are worried about the rising cost of living, it’s also about saving money.

Wem Rural Parish Council are supporting this campaign and want to encourage people to cherish the stuff they already have, repair things rather than throwing them away, and find ways to re-home items that are no longer needed.

Buy Nothing New Month is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the need to reduce waste, while also promoting the fantastic work going on in uniform swap shops, repair cafés, and other initiatives across the country.
