Looking at the impact of the wars on the area – agriculture and food, and the role of women and children; organised by Austin & Christine Bridges, Angela Edwards, Shelagh Edwards, Alan Johnson and Oliver & Shelagh Richardson.

The next meeting of the Round Meadow Community-Led Housing Project Steering Group will be held on 1 October 2014.  The agenda is now available.

Please note the meeting will be held on the first Thursday and not the Tuesday due to a prior booking of the Hall.

WWI – France & Flanders; a Wem & Surrounds perspective. The talk will concentrate on the West European Theatre. Alex Williamson who has toured the battlefields of this area will lead this event. Some individuals from Wem & Surrounds will be linked to the battles.

Back for its eighth year, The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign.

Wem Rural Parish Council are again taking part in this Keep Britain Tidy campaign and are inviting more volunteers to join in to help pick up litter around the parish.

The event is being held on Saturday 15th April 2023 from 9.30am to 12noon.

Bin bags and litter pickers will be provided. Please wear high-viz clothing if you have any.

We will meet on the grass verge near the Lowe Noticeboard (please don’t stand on the road).
