Parish Councillors from Wem Rural Parish Council, along with several other partners met on Saturday 15th June at Jubilee Square in Wem to talk to residents about climate change.

Despite the rain, many free bananas were handed out to visitors and the craft activities included making bird feeders out of recycled plastic and bird decorations to hang up.

The Wem Area Climate Action spoke to people about how they can reduce their carbon footprint, Carbon Earth handed out free samples of compost and Wem Town Council displayed one of their bird houses made out of lego from the lego club at the Library.

If you are interested in getting involved in learning how you can reduce your carbon footprint then get in touch with Wem Area Climate Action and let’s do all what we can.
