Scott Thomas is looking for support for Wem Judo Club’s new project.  Scott explains:

We need your support in developing a project that will benefit the children and adults of Wem and its surrounding areas.

Wem Judo Club has been running in our town for forty years. During this time we have consistently provided opportunities for the children in the local area to learn new skills, keep fit, develop confidence and understand the benefits of self control through the Olympic sport of judo. After a lot of hard work, by a growing number of volunteers, we are finally in a position to rent and then buy our own facility and are currently looking for a suitable unit in the town. As well as running the judo club from this unit, we also hope to develop it into a community hub that is available for other local groups and clubs to use. We think this project could really benefit everyone in our community.

With this in mind, we are going to try and raise money for a deposit on the unit through crowd funding. Crowd funding is a way of the public donating money to a worth while cause via a website.

If you think you would like to know more about our project and maybe even donate a little something towards our cause then please visitwww.indiegogo.com and search Wem Judo Club. We have a 60 days time period so time is of the essence.

Any donations would be very gratefully received, but if you can’t donate then you could still help us by spreading the word about our project. Reposting or retweeting this post to all your friends and family means that our chances of raising the money we need are increased greatly. The more people who know about our campaign the better.
